Fantasy FC Upgrades

I had a Fantasy FC van den Berg (rated 88) that I put through 'party at the back' (prior to him achieving a fantasy objective), should I have also recieved the upgrades associated with the fantasy objective (because I havent)?

Ps I couldnt find any mention that players wouldnt recieve upgrades if you put them through evolutions
