I had a FB Dante with all the playstyles on him and I also had a duplicate base version with no playstyles. I saw the base version fit the Candles and Cramps evolution so I SBCed the original one and paid to Evo the duplicate. I now noticed that it changes the rarity at the end of the evolution, which means I can no longer add the base Playstyles to Dante. Is there anyways to fix this?
Unfortunately, once you apply any evolution, there is no option to revert or undo it. You will now have to rely on regular evolution instead of bakery evolution.
Before starting any evolution, look out for preview. The evolution preview will give you an idea if rarity is changing or not.
I just did my first (of 2 repeatable) Birthday Brunch Evolution (on Training Camp) which ends changing the card rarity to: FUT Birthday Rarity, or FUT Birthday EVO EA FC 26
And "cosmetic"ly speaking is the same, but there's a difference which isn't explained anywhere, about distinguish these 2 evolutions seemingly included in the same rarity.
Which led me to think after achieving it (the 5 steps in Training Camp) it would be possible to add some playstyles. In my case I used Osimhen 87 (Gold Base card) not evoluted yet, which comes with 5 playstyles (zero playstyles+), hoping I could personalize slightly the rest of the playstyles slots available...

Buddy, this is a misunderstanding on your part. FUT Birthday Evo and FUT Birthday are two different rarities (i.e., card types) in the game. You can check the Rarity filter in your club or the transfer market; you will see two different card types listed.
I know it's slightly off topic (but since we're in the same season: FUT Birthday) and as I had to search some reactions and check how it was going for other players regarding an objective: the heel pass with brazilian players in 5 seperate matches, it's not "linearly" to say the least... not so easy to get it, and master it but now I did already (master it). Still I got 2 matches for nothing, where I had plenty of sure that I succeed it and it didn't count. Just like I found a lot of gamers complaining that "it wasn't working" , not so drastically or 100% accurate but they're are right. I even thought of recording it, but then what would happen?
I recently shared other issues, no reactions from EA, there's no support for users. It's really shameful
We're only in March, so I'm sure in the forthcoming seasons EA will grant us more nonsense goals to pursue that on top of that will be buggy, and broken like this one. The exact same way it happened in the past, in FC25.
Thank you, I actually red (found online) the "release notes" about the evolutions going on (this one: FUT Birthday and "Make Your Idol" one) where they specify which cards are suitable to Evolve, apply playstyles etc. and if I got it right, it's mentioned there as well.
But this is NOT so clear, it's almost made on purpose I would say. Doesn't seem fair or clear. I'm not totally unhappy with this Evolution (Osimnhen 87 base card) that I mentioned before, even if I didn't try it yet after evolving it. Just that I chose it upon counting on being able to add and "customize" some more playstyles which turn out not to work... as it seemed.
Being the only difference a slight outline cosmetic/graphic and its designation, which are mentioned in some hidden footnotes somewhere in the official site, not in the game.
FYI... In the game, there is a News tab which shows brief information about the promo. Also, they show a popup when a new promo launches. In that, they show a QR code which redirects you to a post related to the promo that has detailed information.
If you know of a better solution for how to accommodate all this information on the screen inside the game, then please propose it via the feedback portal.
