This game is very manual-based and defending is a lot different than previous years! I would recommend looking up how to better your defense!
Manual defending is in no way connected to inconsistent gameplay. Yes, defending is manual and it is better than previous years, but if gameplay is inconsistent none of your players make any movement in pitch and there is a huge button delay during some games. So bettering defense in no way is going to help with inconsistent gameplay.
siv283 sounds like more of a connection issue then! Best advice would be to be connected via Ethernet for best results (but not guaranteed results as server location also play a big factor).
Izzy_FUT_Dubs Dude I've been playing this game for 10 years, don't give me Ethernet connection advise. I've done everything I humanly can to reduce the delay and lag. I've a 1gig Ethernet connection with a high res monitor and wired controller. But xonsole gameplay is still horrible, I've played in PC and I know the difference. So unless u have a solution for console which I highly doubt you will since you're a volunteer for ea, please be truthful at least to some extent
How come my opponents defenders always take the ball perfectly without him even having to use them?
It's better to track the run with a player that is not on your defensive line and 2nd man pressure with another player not on your defensive line. This way, you're not taking defenders out of position, and they can often force an auto-switch to take the ball away. It'll take some practice to execute right, but it helps a lot!
