Matchmaking in silver league 2

Is the matchmaking broken? I consider myself relatively good in this game but I struggle with scoring that one goal in most of the matches. I absolutely have no chance in winning except for maybe like 1/5 matches. I feel like 4/5 of My opponents are Elite level players. Champions and rivals feel super easy compared to this Even though My silver team is good. Surely there is something wrong here?
