I usually get Elite 1 playing world class/legendary winning 5-0 every game without much struggle, but this week I seem to be conceding 2-3 goals a game and sometimes even struggling to score 5. Using the exact same team as past weeks.
Might just be me but wanted to see if anyone feels the same
I'm struggling this week too. I haven't been beating legendary 5-0 before this week though, but usually I'm keeping clean sheets, this week, I've been even losing a couple of games.
I have the total opposite, I play on legendary and they never attack, I spend the entire match just chasing there back 4 and backpasses down, I usually end up getting my 4/5 goals in the end but the entire match is litterly just me trying to tackle there back 4 while they pass it around or walk to there own corner flag, its so boring.
It's like playing rivals in the 85th min and your opp is time wasting, my AI do that for the whole 90mins even when im 3-4 goals up
I would love for the AI to actually try and "win" the game and go for goals, would be so much more fun even if I did concede some goals, least it would be interesting and I would have to do some defending and have chances to counter etc
Thats not the problem. I play on legendary and they just waste time. Dont even try to score, just keep passing back to goalkeeper and back to defender and back to goalkeeper and back to defender.
I dont even think they had a shot on goal.
Same here 🤣🤣🤣🤣 so fkn annoying, not even a shot on goal. They passed it back and forward between goalkeeper and backline. Time Wasting deluxe.
That's the problem though, to win the ball you need to open yourself up, as soon as you do, Aitana, Haaland or whatever other cracked players they have just rinse the space and they score. You cannot just wait for them to eventually get forward, because that's 10 mins of the game gone before they even pass into your half.
I agree. But theres no point to write it here. Ea already got what they wanted. They sold the game, you bought it and now they dont care.
yep 100%, we all fell for it again, now they just ride off, be silent and ignore us all again until it gets towards FC27 then all of a sudden pop up pretending to care and getting us back interested.
although like the morons they know we are we will all buy FC27 again, although unless something major changes in Fc26. this year will 100% be the last i buy, this one feels like the biggest scam ever
Last time I bought the game was fifa 18. 4 weeks and I remember why I didnt bought it the other years. Ea is probably the worst support to have. Thats why im done with both battlefield and fc now. Time for warzone again.
Ea sort the level out OMG how can you play against AI when they pass faster than a rocket Jesus you are just chasing all game for what a couple of rubbish packs I used to win easily like 4.2 5.3 now it's 7..0 on legendary to AI sort the game we paid good money for this
EA listen to the community since the 2 updates it's lile under 5s playing premier league on squad battles it's harder n harder every match even a team with 2 chem they win on legendary lile 7.2 Jesus you pay for a game to get ripped off every year I'm looking for A new game this toxic game is to stressful to get rewarded a few packs you would think you was playing for a million pounds for God's sake let people enjoy a game they pay good money for listen to them instead of sitting in your million dollar houses watching us fools stress over AI sort it
Since the latest update (which according to the in game pop up was supposed to be for career mode only) the ai on squad battles is ridiculous...
They've gone full ultra tiki taka, ping pong passing every game at speeds which are impossible to intercept, read or anticipate. You literally have to wait for them to give the ball up in some way to get it back.
Maybe in career mode on authentic this works but with the speed on competitive settings it's broken.
Had the same, scraped a 2-1 and 3-1 win
It was the most boring, scripted nonsense I have ever experienced
Not once did I think it was FUN, not once did I think "well that was a challenge, I was so happy when I won"
It was complete and total cheating from the AI and at one point the main battle was with my own team who continued to make the stupidest runs ever, with my striker (whose tactics are set to every kind of attack) deciding sod that, I'm going to stop my run, and run off and be a left back

Just played my last 4 squad battles for the week and it was the least enjoyable matches of squadies I've ever played on any Fifa/FC title ever.
I'd already given up on the online modes due to fidget spinning, over powered R1 dribbling, non sensical defence and massive scorelines and now you've managed to make the only game mode I actually enjoyed and could play casually massively frustrating and broken.
If you don't revert this change to squad battles ai then I'm simply done, no point me playing anymore.
Battles right now is just watching tiki taka between defence and GK for 8 minutes.
This mode makes no fun at all and with this gameplay it is even worse.
Perfect example that literally nobody in this company play their own game. It got patched to death already and the main team probably already works at the next abomination which will be utterly trash after 2-3 patches in the first month just like this year.
so I'm not the only one.. at the start of the year with a basic gold team I was beating Legendary 5-0's now I'm loosing 2-1 to World Class because all they do is pass round the back until you press and leave yourself wide open, passing is horrendous and you have maybe 1 second before your closed down... its not suppose to be easy but its also not suppose to be impossible to play the game..
It’s hard but it’s not impossible. I’m a Div 6 player in rivals, I’m awful. 7-8 every week in Champs.. but SB’s so far (i’ve completed 4 weeks and played 10 so far this week) I’ve won 80, lost 2. Most of them on legendary, some on WC & some on professional - my latest win last night was 4–1 against an 88/33 side. Also won all three penalty shootouts I’ve played… you can’t play against the AI like you do online, it won’t work. You’ve got to be patient in attack & defence. My biggest legendary win is 9-0.. it’s not impossible (unlike Ultimate)
Same thing here. It is the furthest thing from "fun" there can be had. And what a moronic playstyle from the AI. What's the point of passing the ball on your side of the pitch all the time when you are 3-0 behind? There have been plenty of comebacks throughout history but none of them involve stalling the game, but I'm sure any normal football fan has figured that out.
On WC it is better, though it seems the AI buffs/cheats their stats already on this level, where it used to be reserved for Ultimate difficulty only.
Have you even played since the last patch? The AI Is fine now.
We must be playing a different game. Still get slid tackled with an inch of my life, still perfect tackles/interceptions/pace from bronze and silver cards, still getting absolutely ridiculous goals against me
And I’m not talking as someone terrible in the mode, this week I’m over 30k points. But it’s infuriating.
rashy_86 I'm just barely going to scrape the 30k mark this week, I'll admit I'm not great at the game, but I can see where you are coming from. Trying to shake off the defenders is like trying to get off dried super glue! Any hint of an opening and they land a perfect tackle no matter what card it is.
I do get some of the boring keep away football that others are experiencing, but where I play on legendary and world class most of the time, they attack like and defend like I've set it to ultimate last year. Sometimes the AI will just play dirty like they were trained by a toxic tackler losing a game.
I'm honestly confused by the AI this year, sometimes it doesn't even seem to know what it's trying to do. Other times it's like I'm playing the sweatiest champs game. 70 rating and 5 chem, it doesn't matter the game is still going to make you work your **bleep** off for it.
It certainly is not, especially against the lower rated teams.
No, you're right, Ric. They had it perfect for about 24-36 hours and then they adjusted something and made it hot garbage again. It's really unfortunate, now the computer is playing tiki taka again, with the difference that they have 11 players with incisive than can wreck you at any moment and are now able to perform skill moves inside the box with silver players on legendary. It's bad, yeah. There is no place to actually have an enjoyable game on Ultimate team at the moment. Online modes are filled with rats and network manipulators, the same teams, the same anti-football tactics... It's just a case of sunk cost fallacy making me continue playing at this point.
