Squad Battles AI
The update to career mode ai has completely broken and ruined squad battles. Might work on authentic but clearly doesn't on competitive, this must not have been tested and if it was then please fire...

i am disgusted by their lack of replies. This is being raised over and over and over. On this forum, on discord, etc etc. this is the worst mode of the game by far now. I used to play this with my son, he won’t play anymore. Bronze CBs jockey you within an inch of your life, never miss a tackle, and intercept everything. I get elite 2/1 each week, but I feel like putting my controller through the tv every time I play it.
Have played multiple games this week with over 65% possession their way and they will not advance forward. I spent 15 minutes of games time trying to get a ball from them as they passed in a triangle between their CM,LM and LB… and the fact that they can respond instantly to your input.
and let’s not talk about it being a slide tackle simulator, where they use it to stop everything. And no such thing as a red card for them…
Only place in UT you used to get different teams, tactics and formations to play against.
Now every team plays the same, just like online play.
Only way to play against it is to literally LET the ai get towards your final third, otherwise they won't advance. Then if you do get lucky enough to get the ball you then have counter attack goals... just... like... online....

Yep, how I have to play as well. Also using second man press while you cover the pass back to the defender, however they always find a pass out and then back somehow
let’s see if this patch changes anything. At least the forward progression was acknowledged. But the slide tackles, instant response time to your input, and overpowered defending wasn’t.
Didn't even know there was a patch coming, that's how little interest I'm paying to this game now.
Had fun playing other games (something I haven't been able to say on this FC at all) and I think they've lost me for good now.
