Can Icon swaps save this game?
Should I stick around for Icon swaps or should I just quit? I just suffered my worst defeat in FC 26. My opponent had 2 TOTY players in his squad. I expected him to score a lot of goals, but did EA really have to help him by nerfing my attack? All 5 of my finesse+ shots hit the post. I passed the ball into space for my RW to run onto. He instantly stopped as soon as he got to the ball. The LB caught him and won the ball back. My players would receive a pass and knock away from goal. By the time I was in position to shoot, his players were positioned to block/tackle. I've definitely gotten better since the game was released (play regularly), but why does it feel like I'm just constantly getting battered? It seems like the results are getting worse and worse since TOTY was released. Squad battles is no longer fun now that I know there are objectives that impact the score. Instead of playing freely and practicing, I'm trying to complete the match objectives to maximize my points. I didn't pay $100 just to play Rush (the only slightly fun mode left). Should I wait for Icon swaps or should I just quit?
Squad Battles AI
The update to career mode ai has completely broken and ruined squad battles. Might work on authentic but clearly doesn't on competitive, this must not have been tested and if it was then please fire those testers, they are clueless. Since I hate the online gameplay this year I decided to just build my evo team and chill, casually, in squad battles but that is beyond a joke now. A silver 71 rated, 3 chem team just passed the ball around like prime Barcelona. They had 70% possession and did not attack once. Every time i get a player within 5 feet of their player with the ball they pass sideways or back. At 2-0 down they were passing on halfway line and in their final third. You spend most of these squad battles games chasing shadows and waiting for them to make a mistake, not a single moment of enjoyment left in the one mode I could play casually and enjoy. Are you going to change squad battles ai back to how it was or change it back in some way? I'm going to need an answer on this @EA anyone because if you are then I'll keep playing but if not please at least say so on this post so I can move to a different game.Icon Swaps forcing online play.
So I've always enjoyed playing Squad Battles and Rush but I cant stand playing online against other players, I'm not a terrible player but also nowhere near elite. I don't like the aggro of doing it and now if I want to get Icon Ronaldo for instance I need to play against players who take it way more seriously than I do. It's also pretty dumb as its also stopped me paying for the season pass now. (Before it gets said yes it is partly a skill issue but I don't care if I get beat)
No More Mixed Teams!!
I love womens football. My wife was a professional player, so I watched a lot of it. And of course watched tons of mens of football as well. I used to play a little too. There is no comparison between mens and womens football. Not even in the highest levels of womens football and that's because of physics/nature (call it what you will). I 've watched many mixed gender friendly games of professional teams (mainly for charity and/or promotion) and there is no way to compare the physicallity of men to that of women. Men central defenders devour women attackers, even if they are the smallest and fastest women attackers. What EA is doing to this game is WRONG. It takes away the "truthfulness", the sense of the game that most people know, love and appreciate. I understand that there are a lot of players that are not interested in football, don't know how it's played properly and/or don't even care. They probably never played the real game and/or watched one. They only want fast/small/powerfull players and EA provides just that, by (wrongfully) overpowering women football players. But for those of us that like True Football, this is crazy! Does not make sense and it is something that, in the future, may affect the real game. Would you like to see Pina playing for the Barcelona Mens team? She would have a hard time even concetrating from all the "grabbing", pushing, shoving, cursing, hitting that happens during a real game. Would it be nice to have Haaland playing with the Manchester City ladies team. Who would be able to stop him??? And because Haaland plays a bit dirty (the nature of the game), he would end up with harassment lawsuits every week! Please put an end to this!!!Future Stars Issue
Hi Folks, In regards to Future Stars Academy , I noticed there was a Debut Contract to sign a player, I used this on a Silver Nico O'Reilly , Completed the objectives via Squad Battles but there wasn't much associated attribute boosts, no base playstyles, no position upgrades ... Now before anyone says I should've used a Future Stars Academy Player , why was the Silver Nico O'Reilly eligible , If anyone can shed light to this, I'd appreciate itRigged, rigged, ABSOULUTELY rigged.
This game is absolutely rigged. I'm playing FUT Champs and take a 2-1 lead. All of the sudden, my players have 0 ball control. All of their touches feel like knock-on dribbles. At least I can still defend, right? Wrong! My opponent proceeds to score 3 unanswered goals off of some total BS. Goal #1: I activate the offsides trap and all but 1 defender rush forward. All he has to do is turn and shoot. Goal#2: I win the ball back with my LCB when my RCB decides to run into me. I lose the ball and he scores. Goal#3: Botched clearance from a corner. EA, rigging does not equal competitive. Stop putting your thumb on the scale to slow progression and force us to buy your player packs.
Mass False Bans for “Balance Transfer” on PC
Throwback to 24.12.25, when EA’s automated detection system flagged thousands of PlayStation accounts for “balance transfer.” After 8–10 hours, they fixed the issue and unbanned everyone with a single click. Everyone thought the problem was resolved, the Wildcards promo continued, and the money kept flowing. Now, three weeks later, guess what’s happening on PC? Exactly the same thing that happened on Christmas Eve. Multiple accounts in my community have been banned over the span of just two days. Casual players, traders — you name it. I even tested the issue myself by hopping onto unused accounts, trading a few cards, and playing a couple of Rivals games. And guess what? After about 10 hours of normal gameplay, I got banned for literally no reason. We didn’t sell coins. Most of us didn’t use any external web app add-ons or bots. Just regular Weekend League gameplay with some trading on the side to improve our teams — literally using the in-game market as intended. My friends and I did some research to figure out what might have caused this. We reviewed the cards we bought and sold, as well as our profits and losses. Across all 14 accounts, there was exactly one common card purchased on every single account: Ibanez Winter Wildcard. The point of this post is to make this issue public and hopefully get it noticed by someone at EA. Many people have lost their time, money, and nerves. EA Help’s policy is based almost entirely on automated responses, so when you try to appeal a ban, you’re stuck resending the same message only to get rejected by a bot 24 hours later. It’s incredibly frustrating. I've already made a post on Reddit and X both got quite a big attention, but still no action by EA. So please, if you’re in the same situation, upvote this post. I decided to quit the game and delete all EA games because of the lack of respect for players and the endless mistakes in this game, which belongs to the worst company in dealing with players and the worst in the game industry. I apologize, but I simply cannot bear to see the responses from the most arrogant player service representatives ever, so there's no need to reply.
