The update to career mode ai has completely broken and ruined squad battles. Might work on authentic but clearly doesn't on competitive, this must not have been tested and if it was then please fire...

Today I did something I have never done before
I was winning the match 75 minutes gone, and I just turned the game off
Its finally reached the point where I am completely fed up with how UNFUN this grind is.
The AI winning every challenge from impossible positions and then the ball flying straight to their player
Your players running offside for no reason, or just standing around after an attack breaks down so you can't pass the ball forwards
The game actively ignoring where you are aiming and randomly passing the ball to someone who is offside
I'm winning these matches, but it's not remotely FUN because of how cheap and scripted the AI is.
It's absolutely pathetic that ANYONE can defend this.
If this was real football, nobody would watch it because of how boring it is, which is why they have to bribe people to watch their "pros" play their tournaments, because nobody in the real world would want to watch this game let alone play it.
Same here, weeks ago, I just quit the match during the first half because I was so bored and just couldn't be bothered anymore.
Have never quit out of a squad battles match in all the years I've played...
100% agree. I get Elite 1 just about every week, but it is not enjoyable at all. Every week I say it will be the last week with how furious it makes me. Hopefully this will be the last week for me. Maybe not just squad battles, maybe the game entirely. Not as fun when I can’t play with my son
