Wrongfully Banned for Coin Distribution – Need Answers

Hi everyone,

I’m posting this because something is seriously wrong with the way EA Sports FC is flagging accounts.

My account was banned from the Transfer Market for “coin distribution,” even though I have never bought, sold, or transferred coins. Everything I’ve done is standard, legitimate players trading, buying low, selling high, and working the market like many others.

I’ve been building this account since 2023, and during the current FC 26 version, putting in a lot of time and effort, and now it’s been restricted based on what looks like an automated detection system that’s clearly producing false positives. It feels like normal trading activity is being misinterpreted as suspicious behavior.

What’s even more frustrating is the lack of transparency. There’s no clear explanation of what triggered the ban, no specific transaction pointed out—just a generic accusation. If legitimate players can get flagged like this, then the system is fundamentally flawed.

At this point, it’s hard to trust a system that can penalize fair players without proper review.

  • Has anyone else been incorrectly flagged like this?
  • Were you able to get your account restored?
  • Is there any real way to escalate this beyond standard support replies?

Would really appreciate hearing others’ experiences, because this doesn’t feel like a fair or reliable system right now.

Welcome to the club, which is ironic considering that is an EA phrase as well.

Similarly I was banned on Sunday for coin distribution that has changed to become balance transfer.

Multiple appeals go nowhere as its impossible to prove a negative.   It is also impossible to refute the evidence as they provide none. The response of 'we have looked at your account and we have decided you did something' is what you consistently get.

If you are based in the UK or EU you can request your personal data via GDPR using their online system which should contain ll their correspondence with you and about you. I am waiting for mine to come. They claim a 'couple of hours' but expect it to longer

You can also escalate to their legal department whose address is readily available via a Google search which can also help with other routes of complaint

The more complaints they get the more it cannot be ignored. Their systems are broken

The mods on here will not be able to help other than send you to their help and penalty history appeal form.  Its not their job to help in reality just deflect. Its not their fault so be kind to them.
