Question re Weather Effects

Does anyone still play with weather effects on?  Am I the only one struggling when it isn’t perfect weather out?

My seems like it causes poor first touches which id imagine is the intention, but it feels like I lose more to the rain then actual other team.  The ball will just bounce of a player, and easily be recovered by an ai who is fantastic at attacking bad touches without ever slipping on a wet pitch like a human controlled player does.  

Almost feels like a function they didn’t fully think through when making everything manual
