Competitive Gameplay Triggers Slow Jog Instead of Walking
I tested this in both Competitive and Authentic Gameplay.
With very light Left Stick input, Authentic Gameplay correctly makes the player walk. However, with the same light input in Competitive Gameplay, the player uses a slow jogging animation instead of walking.
The movement speed itself is not the issue. The problem is that Competitive Gameplay does not provide the same true walking locomotion at low Left Stick input that Authentic Gameplay does.
Walking is particularly important in Clubs because players have full manual control of their Pro off the ball. Small walking movements are useful for precise positioning in tight spaces, adjusting position near the offside line, creating better passing angles, and preparing the player’s body position before receiving the ball.
A slow jog does not provide the same level of fine movement control or natural body positioning. Having a proper walking range on the Left Stick would give Clubs players more precise analog control without affecting normal jogging, running, or sprinting.
Please investigate the low Left Stick input threshold and the Walk-to-Jog transition in Competitive Gameplay.
