EA SPORTS FC 27 Career Mode – 1/10: A Complete Disappointment

I am genuinely disappointed with what EA Sports has done to Career Mode in FC 27.

A game mode that should be about building a football club, developing players, making transfers and enjoying a realistic managerial experience has become an incredibly frustrating mess.

The controls are unnecessarily complicated and frustrating. Instead of improving the experience, EA has managed to make basic gameplay and management feel less enjoyable.

But the most ridiculous part is the player morale and contract system.

How is it remotely realistic for players to start demanding transfers or salary increases after just TWO matches? You spend hours building a squad, planning your season and creating a long-term project, only for players to suddenly become unhappy for completely unreasonable reasons.

This is not realism. This is poor game design.

Career Mode should reward patience, planning and good management. Instead, it constantly punishes players with unrealistic demands, unnecessary drama and mechanics that make absolutely no sense.

It genuinely feels as though the developers have forgotten what makes Career Mode enjoyable in the first place.

Players do not need more artificial problems. We need intelligent AI, realistic player behavior, sensible contract negotiations, responsive controls and a properly balanced management experience.

It is unacceptable that a major football franchise continues to deliver such a frustrating experience.

I paid for a football game to enjoy building my own club, not to spend every few matches dealing with players threatening to leave or demanding more money for no logical reason.

My rating: 1/10.

EA Sports needs to stop treating Career Mode as an afterthought and start listening to the people who actually play it.

Fix Career Mode. Stop ruining one of the best parts of your franchise.
