Beta not working on Steam

I basically did as the email instructed: "Log in or CREATE a Steam account using the email address associated with this message". 

 I created a new Steam account using the same email address as my EA account as my main steam account, that has this EA account linked, has a different email.

I redeemed the beta code on that new Steam account. However, when I launched the beta, it prompted me to sign in to my EA account. My EA account is already linked to my main Steam account, so I now get a message saying that my EA account is already associated with another Steam account, and I can't continue.

The beta also doesn't appear in the EA App.

Any fix to that?

    UPDATE. The code needs to be redeemed with the Steam account which has your EA account associated. The Steam account does not need to have the same email address as the EA account. If needed, request a new code through the beta codes tool and redeem again. Do not follow the email instructions if you have the same situation!
