Broken Defending, META Abuse and Terrible Pack Rewards

Dear EA SPORTS Development Team,

I am writing this complaint as a deeply frustrated FC 27 player who genuinely loves football games but is extremely disappointed with the direction this franchise has taken.

The problems are no longer minor gameplay issues. They are fundamental design decisions that are destroying the competitive experience, squad diversity, and enjoyment of Ultimate Team.

First: Defending Is Fundamentally Broken

Let me make something absolutely clear. I am NOT complaining about defensive AI or asking the game to defend automatically for me.

I am talking about the actual defensive attributes and physical capabilities of defenders.

What is the point of having defenders with high strength, aggression, standing tackle, defensive awareness, and physical ratings when they cannot even properly shoulder an attacker off the ball?

Why should a physically strong, elite defender struggle to win a basic shoulder-to-shoulder challenge against a much weaker attacker?

Defensive attributes should actually mean something. Physical strength should matter. Positioning should matter. Tackling ability should matter.

Right now, it feels like defenders are being punished for defending while attackers are constantly rewarded by broken mechanics.

Second: Women’s Players, Body Types and Acceleration Mechanics

The integration of women’s players into Ultimate Team, combined with certain body types, acceleration styles, and movement mechanics, has created serious gameplay balance problems.

My criticism is not about women participating in the game. It is about how specific player models and mechanics interact with the gameplay engine.

Certain combinations of body type, acceleration, agility, and animations make some players ridiculously difficult to challenge physically or dispossess.

This creates unrealistic situations where defensive attributes and physical differences appear almost meaningless.

Football gameplay should be balanced around meaningful attributes and consistent mechanics, not around exploiting particular body types and acceleration animations.

Third: The META Has Destroyed Squad Diversity

This is one of the most ridiculous problems in FC 27.

What is the point of including approximately 8,000 players in the game when it feels like 90% of the community uses the same formations and the same small group of META players?

Every match feels like playing against the same opponent.

The same formations. The same players. The same tactics. The same attacking patterns.

Where is the creativity? Where is the tactical freedom? Where is the enjoyment of building a unique Ultimate Team?

You have created a football game with thousands of players, yet only a tiny percentage feel genuinely competitive.

That is a massive failure of gameplay balancing and game design.

Players should be rewarded for creativity, football knowledge, and tactical decisions rather than being forced to copy whatever the current META happens to be.

Fourth: Terrible Pack Rewards and Unacceptable Value for FC Points

This is perhaps the most frustrating issue of all.

I personally spend money purchasing FC Points and opening packs, yet the rewards are absolutely ridiculous.

Imagine spending 18,500 FC Points and receiving barely ONE walkout player!

How is that acceptable?

How can EA SPORTS justify such disappointing returns for players who spend real money supporting this franchise?

I understand that packs involve probability and that nothing is guaranteed. However, the overall experience feels incredibly unrewarding and discouraging.

You introduce amazing Icons, Heroes, and elite players, but how exactly are ordinary players supposed to afford them when pack rewards are consistently so disappointing?

I want to enjoy the game. I want to build my dream squad. I want to experience playing with legendary Icons and top-tier footballers.

But how am I supposed to do that when I spend money on FC Points and receive almost nothing of meaningful value?

And then EA SPORTS takes action against players who purchase coins through unauthorized third-party services.

I am not defending coin buying or asking EA to allow it. But have you ever seriously considered WHY some players feel driven toward these services?

When legitimate methods feel excessively expensive, unrewarding, and frustrating, players lose confidence in the system.

Instead of focusing only on punishing players, perhaps EA should also examine whether its own reward structure is contributing to this frustration.

Fifth: Give Players the Freedom to Choose – Men’s Only or Mixed Ultimate Team

Another important issue that EA SPORTS needs to address is the complete lack of player choice regarding mixed-gender squads in Ultimate Team.

We are demanding a simple and reasonable feature: GIVE PLAYERS THE FREEDOM TO CHOOSE!

Why can’t we have a matchmaking option that allows us to select between Men’s Only and Mixed Squads?

It is really that simple!

Men’s Only – Play exclusively against squads consisting of male footballers.

Mixed – Play against squads featuring both male and female footballers.

We are not asking EA SPORTS to remove women’s football or prevent anyone from enjoying mixed squads.

We are asking for the freedom to choose how WE want to experience the game.

Some players enjoy mixed Ultimate Team squads, and that is perfectly fine. Others prefer traditional men’s football squads, and their preferences should be respected too.

Why should one gameplay format be forced on everyone when both options could exist?

Player choice should be a fundamental part of a game that promotes creativity, customization, and freedom.

EA SPORTS constantly talks about listening to its community. Well, here is a clear and reasonable request from players who want more control over their gaming experience.

MEN’S ONLY OR MIXED. LET THE PLAYERS DECIDE!

Give us the option. Respect different preferences. Stop forcing everyone into the same experience.

More choice means more freedom, more satisfaction, and a better football game for everyone.

Final Message to EA SPORTS

FC 27 is supposed to be a football game, not a repetitive META simulator combined with an unrewarding pack-opening experience.

We want defending that works, attributes that actually matter, balanced player mechanics, tactical diversity, and a rewarding Ultimate Team experience.

We are customers who invest our time, passion, and hard-earned money into your product.

We deserve more than recycled mechanics, identical squads, frustrating gameplay, and disappointing rewards.

Please stop treating these issues as minor complaints.

Your community is asking for meaningful improvements, not excuses.

Fix the defending. Fix the gameplay balance. Break the META. Improve the rewards. Bring the enjoyment back to football.

EA SPORTS needs to start listening before even more loyal players lose their passion for this franchise.

  • EA doesn’t care at all. They already got your money. They’ve proven every single chance that they hate their player base. They are an absolutely garbage company, and are just putting out lazy ai slop now. It’ll only get worse with the scummy Saudi royal family, and one of the idiot nepo baby Kushners buying in. Only way to fight back is by not giving them money for any of their trash games from now on.
