Delayed Gameplay/Sluggish/Delayed Inputs/AI Not Responding to Situation

It's been the same problem every year since they introduced the new engine. Having played FIFA in this more modern style since 2005, it's extremely easy to spot the clear difference in responsiveness and movement between the past and now. I don't know why it happens. It's been this way in every edition since the new engine, although it's been borderline unbearable for 3 to 4 years now. I'm so tired of complaining, and I know this post will go into the void. It's so sad that the most fundamental part of the game is also the most broken. When the game is so delayed and slow that a defender can jockey around me 360 degrees before I can even register an input to move the character, we have a problem. Yes, I can play tiki-taka and win that way, but that's not how I like to play. That's not the game I fell in love with back when I was a kid in the early 2000s. The simple ability to move around and try to do something cool is why I played. It's actually not possible to do that now. That's why so many people turn the game off so fast.
