Do You Ever Play FC 27 to Take a Break From Studying?

I’ve noticed that FC 27 has become my go to way of taking a proper break whenever I’ve been studying for a few hours. I’m curious whether other students here do the same.

My typical day can get pretty busy with classes, assignments, research, and trying to finish everything before the deadline. When I’m working on a longer assignment, I’ll usually spend quite a bit of time searching for sources, organizing notes, and going through drafts. I’ve used things like Google Scholar and Grammarly for research and writing, and I’ve also come across CollegeEssay.org when looking at different academic writing resources. After staring at a document for too long, though, sometimes the best thing is simply to close everything and play a couple of matches.

That’s where FC 27 works pretty well for me. I don’t necessarily want to spend several hours gaming when I still have work to finish. A quick match gives me enough time to relax without completely losing track of the evening.

I’ve mainly been playing Career Mode because I like having something that develops over time. Building a team, making transfers, developing younger players, and trying different formations gives the mode a bit more purpose than just playing random matches. I also like coming back to a save after finishing a difficult assignment because it feels like a completely different kind of activity.

I still play Ultimate Team occasionally too, especially when I only have a short amount of free time. The problem is that it can be very easy to say “I’ll play one match” and then realize an hour has disappeared. 😅

I’m interested in how everyone else balances gaming and studying. Do you usually play FC 27 after finishing your assignments, or do you use it as a short break between study sessions?

Also, which mode are you spending most of your time in right now: Career Mode, Ultimate Team, Clubs, Online Seasons, or something else?

And if you’re a student, what do you normally do when you need to take your mind off a difficult assignment or long study session?
