Gameplay Developer Notes - Concerning Analysis
So the latest Gameplay Developer Notes are out. Fairly bland stuff but one part stood out to me in the notes that makes me think EA don't understand their own game and the people who play it.
In the passing section EA say something along the lines of "we are seeing more accurate passing even though there are slightly fewer passes overall" .
Firstly less passing will often mean more accuracy as there are less passes to go wrong.
But more worryingly EA appear to have painted this as a sign the game is working well. When what it is actually a sign of is one of the most annoying parts of the game, that of people holding onto the ball left stick dribbling/fidget spinning until one of their players becomes wide open then passing. Can't pass badly if you are not passing the ball!
I would also love for the notes to actually say the percentage of formations and tactics being used per division as I am not buying the claim there is a wider variety of tactics. I am div 5 and face the same 3 in what feels like 8 out of 10 games.
