I love FC 27 when it works, but the inconsistency is ruining the experience. Some Squad Battles matches are almost impossible, even on Semi-Pro, while others are ridiculously easy. I just want to score a few goals, relax and enjoy the game — not sit on the edge of my seat, struggling to win 1–0 on Semi-Pro. EA needs to explain why the difficulty feels so inconsistent, both between matches and during the same match.
I agree except the last part.
When an all out of position team with low rating and 0 chem play better than the squad full of icons you get every rotation it shows that chem and rating to a degree mean nothing.
The difficulty you choose for the AI is a very important factor, but not the only one, other factors also play a role. In Squad Battles you can check the opponent team before starting, to see their strengths and weaknesses, so you can prepare better for the match. So the style can change, sometimes they’re compact in defence, sometimes they press hard the whole match, other times they just launch quick counters with rapid transitions, and it depends a lot on the strength and speed of the AI’s squad. Also important are the chemistry and the raiting of the team.
