Questioning the integrity and fairness

After 40th minute and 80th and during injury time, there is a noticeable contrast between the start of the game where both players are equal with each other in terms of abilities. However, the AI noticeably switches off after 40th and 80th in-game minutes.

For example, the trapping of the ball becomes less reliable. Jockey speed and pace in general of the defenders reduces even with manual defending benefits, the defensive shape stretches out way too much. At this point, it's all about if you have the ball after those mentioned minutes if not you are in severe disadvantage.

Not just defenders, the goalkeepers start conceeding cheap near post shots.

This begs me the question. If this is called a competitive game with fairness behind it, why change the AI behaviours throughout the game. Why do you not let the players decide the results rather than AI behaviours simply not being your "teammates"?

I'm not slamming EA or something. It's not a critic nor a vent. It's a genuine concern I have considering this game is in eSports scene. It's just odd. I have heard that it is to create excitement. But what excitement does it provide when the goals are artificial and so cheap way of scoring. And in case you didn't know, defending is a big part of the game. I wish the game would let the players decide the results. Also it makes defending an option to win. This game is literally just back and forth that scoring goals doesn't feel as exciting.
