Re: Unable to link custom names in local kick-off mode

It’s insane because all my FC gaming is to track stats with my friends so this not being fixed yet is so unprofessional.

Truly 80% of my gaming in FC was to track stats with my friends in local matches. Please return the feature

Same in Switch 2, I only bought it for playing with Liga MX w my friends, otherwise, id stayed with FC25

When playing in kick off there is no option to link kick off names . It only has player 1 and player 2 even when connected to EA servers.

Cannot connect online on Select Sides screen to get my profile as a group leader. In EA FC 27 Kick-Off mode on PS5, my profile name is stuck on 'Player 1'. The 'Connect Online' button in the Kick-Off screen is completely unresponsive, despite my EA account being successfully connected in the main menu. I cannot use my custom profile or track offline stats

Please EA, fix the problem

My son is having the same issue on his Xbox.  We would like to know how to fix this too. 

My son is having exactly the same issue. He’s tried every fix and he still has player1 on his controller when playing kick-off and the match stats keep resetting. We’ve loaded the update and even reinstalled the whole game. Does anyone have a fix that works?

In previous FIFA/EA SPORTS FC games, we could use individual Kick-Off names/profiles when playing locally with friends and keep track of our results and statistics.

In FC 27, we are only shown as “Player 1”, “Player 2”, etc., and the old Kick-Off profile/name system appears to be missing.

This is very frustrating for those of us who regularly play local Kick-Off with friends. The latest update did not fix the issue either.

Please EA, investigate this and restore the individual Kick-Off profiles/names and statistics system.

I am experiencing a persistent issue in EA FC on PlayStation 5 where I am unable to select or rename the "Player 1" profile in Kick-Off mode to track head-to-head statistics with friends.

Since starting FC 27, whenever going into Kick-Off/Classic Match, it only gives the option of selecting Player 1 / Player 2 and there is no option anywhere to create a Kick-Off Name or select your account name. Because of this, we're unable to track our stats such as wins, so I was wondering if this issue is known about and being worked on?

Have you not already linked your EA accounts or do you mean joining a game rather than linking.

When i play kick off with my brother we cant link our psn accounts to keep track is just shows psn logo and player 1 and 2 

In offline Versus, local players are now only identified as “Player 1” and “Player 2.” In previous versions, my friends and I could use usernames and track our head-to-head results over time. We have been using this feature for years, but FC 27 appears to have removed it completely.

Is this a bug or an intentional change? Please restore local usernames and persistent head-to-head stat tracking.

In FC 27, my win, draw, and loss counts are resetting to zero—an issue that didn't exist in FC 25 or 26. Normally, the game used to save progress via my EA ID, but in FC 27, I enter matches as "Player 1."
