FC 27 PC – Freezing and Micro-Stuttering During Gameplay

CPU: Ryzen 7600x
GPU: AMD 9070 XT 16gb
RAM: 32 gb ddr5
Windows 11

I can play Stalker 2, BF6, Wukong etc at very high settings and 60+fps with zero stuttering but FC27 stutters and freezes. There's no single action that makes the game freeze or stutter but it feels like it's got something to do with the engine/physics/players because the advertisement boards are rolling through the freezes. It's both online and offline modes.

I've managed to limit the stuttering but only for a couple of games before it comes back again and I have to restart the game for it to work properly. Limit FPS to 60 or even 30 (needs to be way lower than what you PC can output) outside of the game (nvidia/adrenaline), turn off all frame limiting stuff or vsync in game and keep settings at medium or lower.

    same exact thing js happened to me, i’m playing a draft on 27 and my game froze 5 times and i conceded 2 goals, if it wasn’t for that i would’ve won

    I am experiencing a specific micro-stuttering issue in EA SPORTS FC 27.

    The game runs smoothly most of the time, but when the opponent has possession, I sometimes get 2–3 very short micro-stutters in quick succession. Each lasts only a fraction of a second, then the game becomes smooth again.

    This is not controller input delay or a disconnect. The whole game briefly stutters.

    The issue happens in Ultimate Team and Squad Battles. Pro Clubs does not seem to have the same issue.

    I tested a different controller and the issue remained. Other games on the same PC work normally.

    EA SPORTS FC 26 runs smoothly on the exact same PC, controller, Windows, drivers and monitor.

    I have already tested common controller, GameInput, graphics and FPS troubleshooting without success.

    The issue appears mainly when the opponent has the ball or during defensive/possession transitions, and seems specific to FC 27.

    I also have the exact same issue. The game is pretty much unplayable at this point when it randomly freezes in the middle of a game for a few seconds and you instantly concede a goal.

    Title: FC 27 PC – Micro Stuttering / Freezing During Online Matches (RTX 5070 + i5-14600K)

    Platform: PC

    Hardware:

    GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 12GB

    CPU: Intel Core i5-14600K

    RAM: 32GB DDR5-5600

    Monitor: Samsung Odyssey G40B – 240Hz

     

    Issue:

    I started experiencing frequent micro stuttering during EA SPORTS FC 27 online matches on Saturday afternoon.

    Before Saturday afternoon, I did not experience this issue.

    The FPS is generally high and stable, but I still get very short stutters/freezes during gameplay. The issue is especially noticeable when rotating the camera or quickly changing direction.

    It feels like the game briefly freezes for a fraction of a second, even though the FPS counter remains high.

    The issue occurs during:

    Online matches

    Camera rotation

    General gameplay and player movement

    Quick changes of direction

     

    Internet connection: Wired Ethernet connection

     

    My PC is capable of running FC 27 at high FPS, so I suspect this may be related to frame pacing, PC optimization, or an issue introduced by a recent game/server update.

     

    Please investigate the cause of these short freezes and micro stutters during online matches.
