PS5 – FC 26 and FC 27 freeze during matches after extended gameplay

I'm experiencing a recurring freezing issue on my PS5 (original model, CFI-1114A) when playing EA SPORTS FC 26 and FC 27.

After playing for an extended period, the image freezes for several seconds, comes back, and then freezes again repeatedly.

Important details:

• The audio continues normally while the image is frozen.
• The PS5 system menu remains responsive when I press the PS button.
• The issue happens during actual matches, not in menus.
• It happens in both FC 26 and FC 27.
• Other games, including Assassin's Creed Origins, run normally for almost two hours without freezing, so this appears to be specific to the EA titles.

Troubleshooting already performed:

• Updated both games to the latest versions.
• Deleted and reinstalled FC 27.
• Restored licenses.
• Rebuilt the PS5 database.
• Tested different TVs and HDMI cables.
• Disabled HDR and VRR.
• Tested the console in a well-ventilated area.

The issue still persists.

I would like EA to investigate whether this is a known game-related bug affecting PS5 players, especially during longer offline matches.

Is this issue being investigated, and is a fix planned for an upcoming update?
