Widespread Connectivity Issue in Indonesia – (PS5)
Hello EA Support Team,
I would like to report a connectivity issue affecting EA SPORTS FC 27 players in Indonesia, particularly on PlayStation 5.
Since the recent October 29 update, several players have reported being unable to connect to EA servers, despite having stable internet connections.
My troubleshooting results:
- Platform: PlayStation 5
- Game: EA SPORTS FC 27
- ISP: Biznet
- NAT Type: Type 2
- Error message: "Unable to connect to EA servers"
- Connection tested via Wi-Fi 5 GHz and wired LAN.
- Both connection methods failed to connect to EA servers.
- Switching to a mobile hotspot immediately resolved the connection issue.
- Ping and traceroute tests to Google DNS (8.8.8.8) and Cloudflare DNS (1.1.1.1) showed low latency and no visible routing anomalies.
Additional findings:
I found another report on the EA Forums from October 29, 2026, describing almost identical symptoms. The user tested both Biznet and Oxygen, but could only connect successfully through a mobile hotspot.
Other players have also reported similar issues across different ISPs and countries, including Malaysia.
This suggests that the issue may be related to FC 27's latest update, server connectivity, or routing between EA's network infrastructure and certain ISPs in Southeast Asia.
Request for investigation:
Could the technical team please investigate:
- Potential connectivity issues introduced by the October 29 update.
- Connectivity between EA SPORTS FC 27 services and ISPs in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
- Possible routing, peering, or authentication issues affecting PS5 users.
- Whether there are any known issues affecting specific regional Game Data Centers.
We would appreciate an official acknowledgment and an update on the investigation.
