I have exactly the same issue on PS5.
During online Ultimate Team matches (Rivals and FUT Draft), the game suddenly freezes for around 5 seconds and then returns me to the Ultimate Team menu. The match is then recorded as a loss. My Internet connection does NOT disconnect when this happens. I remain connected to PSN, and the FC connection monitoring stays green with around 20 ms ping and no packet loss. My PS5 is connected via Ethernet, NAT Type 2, with around 900 Mbps download and 190 Mbps upload. I also tested my connection from another device on the same network while playing. When FC froze, the connection remained completely stable. I have also cleared the PS5 system cache, but the problem happened again. It happens repeatedly, sometimes every 2–3 online matches, while I have never experienced this problem in Squad Battles. This appears to be the exact same issue described in this thread. Hopefully EA can investigate it as an FC 27 online match/session issue rather than a general Internet connection problem.
