Another day. Another crash. This time I had noticed that the app was briefly freezing for a split second during game play and then jumping ahead so I preemptively cleared my cache (for the second time in about 24 hours) and the app STILL crashed during one of my next H2H matches in Club Challenges.
This is getting really, REALLY annoying. I sent a direct message to the EA rep in this thread but haven’t heard back. At least one other iPad user has indicated here that they are also encountering issues too (which probably means there are many more who just aren’t bothering with these forums). This didn’t use to happen before the recent update, so something has changed and, presumably, this means it can be fixed. Is EA looking into it or is the game basically going to be ruined for iPad users from here on out? Some sort of response would be appreciated. Rest assured, I won’t be spending any more money until/unless it is.
When did you update the iOS? What you describe sounds like an interop issue between your iOS version, the latest game build, and your device. Do you see any resource exhaustion on your iPad? etc. It might pay to share some of the details you sent to Pulsar ( exact Device name and model and current iOS version installed).

It started i think with a content update during the weekends, I could still play with commentary during that time without the app crashing. After that small update, it just broke. Now im forced to play this game on the lowest settings, without commentary, and it's been a boring and frustrating experience ever since cause of the crashes I endured 🥲

I generally keep my updates set to automatic. Just downloaded the latest iOS 18.4 earlier today and the app crashed YET AGAIN in the middle of a H2H matchup. I don’t know what you mean by “resource exhaustion,” but my iPad is performing perfectly in every respect EXCEPT when the FC Mobile app crashes during gameplay. It’s a 9th generation so it’s not even that old. As I stated previously, this was not an issue until the UCL event update loaded last week and now I’m getting daily crashes. I’ve done nothing else to my device (e.g., no new apps or other content loaded recently).

Resource exhaustion occurs when your hardware reaches its maximum capacity. For example, your RAM (device memory) or your processor might be largely occupied by background processes, leaving insufficient memory/CPU resources for the game, or you could be running low on available storage space. Since you haven't said what hardware you are using so as someone reads your post, it could be any iPad from Gen1 to the latest one and obviously, the older the device is the more exposed to Resource Exhaustion it is.
Without being able to read your device logs and seeing the server logs, gotta be asking for such details. This is why I asked for extra detail so others seeing similar issues can provide more meaningful data to EA staff so they can pass on the details to the devs.- 1440666fd7e443ec3 months agoNew Veteran
I did note that it’s a 9th generation iPad. Not brand new, but also new enough that I don’t expect to have these problems. I have well over 20 GB of free storage and I’m not running any other processes (at least none that I’m aware of) while I’m playing the game.

I posted a reply yesterday, but it seems to have gone missing. In the meantime, I’ve experienced yet another crash just moments ago and this time in Manager Mode of all things. I’m kind of beyond disbelief at this point, as there doesn’t appear to be an end in sight.
I run the app on a 9th generation iPad and I generally update the OS as soon as a new version comes out. I just loaded iOS 18.4 yesterday and that has not resulted in any change (indeed, now I’ve experienced a crash in a game mode that was giving me no problems before, lol!). I’m now in the habit of clearing my cache just about every day in the vain hope that maybe it will cut down on the frequency of my issues. Don’t know what else to do at this point. I’m not really inclined to buy a new device over this, so if EA can’t figure out what’s going on (and I’m not even certain that they have the bandwidth or motivation to do so), then I don’t know what can be done.
