Everyday. Most H2H matches. Ridiculous latency. Uncompetitive/unwinnable matches. No FUN! Fix matchmaking.
Everyday. This team was a significantly lower OVR than my team, but the lag between my inputs and the live action killed the game. It doesn’t have to be this way. The match before this one my ping was 21ms! Why does it nearly triple??? Please fix matchmaking.

Yeah mate - they introduced regions a while ago, which as you would expect significantly reduced the amount of distance based issues for most players … unfortunately, the move was wildly unpopular and it lasted less than a year before they opened the game back up to the global player base, albeit with matchmaking that attempts to go regional first before spreading out.
its not as good though, and if you are at the arse end of Australia like me, then you are so far from the servers that lag makes it pretty much impossible to play against anyone.
keep fighting the good fight, but I fear it is a bit of a wasted effort, because after the debacle of regions the first time, there seems to be no plans to revisit them.

Man, I can’t imagine how bad it must be to play this game from a geographically isolated a location . I live in a metropolitan area of over 1.5 million with just 60 miles separating me from San Francisco, so it’s absolutely stunning that I have to endure +60ms ping in more than half my H2H matches when there are undoubtedly scores (if not hundreds) of FC Mobiles users online in my backyard at most hours of the day.
I know it’s probably futile, but I’m going to keep posting. I also filled out the recent “motivations” survey EA put out and let them know loud and clear that it makes ZERO sense for any of us F2P users to EVER spend money when the matchplay is so laggy/crappy as to deny us any enjoyment from buying better players. It’s a fundamental flaw in their “value proposition” if you ask me. If they want to keep taking FC Mobile in the direction they’ve been headed (of running it like a football-themed slot machine for collecting players) then I guess there may be a handful of folks rich enough and/or stupid enough to keep spending, but at some point us F2Ps are just going to bail completely. I mean, the very fact that they’ve put out this survey suggests they are struggling to grow revenue and my guess is that its because they’ve maxed out the “addicts” and they’ve treated the rest of us like garbage for so long that most of us don’t even bother with the $0.39 or $0.99 offers anymore—because what’s the point???
Here’s the latest of my (thrice) daily H2H torture sessions. Lower OVR opponent, but lag absolutely killed the match.

EA, why should anyone pay for this laggy nonsense? It’s everyday. More than half of H2H matchups where my ping doubles or triples and it becomes impossible to compete with (let alone beat) lesser teams. 😡

How is it that with the update the H2H ping has actually gotten WORSE??? Just played a match where my ping quadrupled! This isn’t a fun, competitive match—not even remotely! Feels like a slap in the face when EA talks a big game about “listening” to users but fails to address basic and persistent issues like H2H lag.

Over and over again, the lag kills the competitiveness and the fun. EA are so full of crap when they say they “listen” to us. I’ve been posting about this issue
for months and months. I’ve also filled out at least six surveys. There are actionable solutions to address latency and they refuse to do anything about it. Why should anyone pay their hard-earned money to acquire top players if they can’t enjoy playing with them against other users?

Are you kidding, EA?
135ms ping (and this wasn’t even the highest reading of the match. What a joke.

You’re closer to the servers than I am! :P But seriously, the update has caused some issues. Sometimes I see high ping but the game isn’t lagging, and other times both teams show low ping but players are warping all over the place. It seems like the latency shown doesn’t actually reflect the real latency.
