I’ve been complaining about this too. It’s infuriating and it most likely has to do with the matchmaking function which regularly pairs users up with people who are far, far away. When this happens there is a server that acts as the hub for the connection with that player and if your opponent is closer to that hub than you are then you will experience slower than normal responsiveness to your player command/control inputs. For example, I have a fast internet connect and normally play both FC Mobile and FC 25 at a ping rate of about 24-28 mps, but I regularly experience +80 mps when I play H2H on FC Mobile. It’s beyond frustrating because, as you’ve no doubt experienced, it’s NO FUN to play the game with that level of latency/lag. It makes the game virtually unwinnable if you’re opponent experiences no such lag (and they don’t if they are sitting closer to the host server!).
It appears that EA does not test their game under these real world conditions and/or just doesn’t care about how crappy the user experience becomes when it occurs. I’ve posted about it and only received comments from other users (helping to clarify/confirm what is actually happening—as described above), but an EA employee has yet to acknowledge the issue much less indicate they plan to do anything about it. Therefore, my recommendation is to keep posting about it and make some noise. Maybe we can get their attention. Short of that, our only choice is to boycott H2H or just quit the game altogether.
