you need to finish the challenge path with each of the six heroes from the first part of the event - it has nothing to do with collecting their puzzle pieces - there must be one hero that you have not yet completed the path with.
It is annoying that you can't tell which hero that is though ... i will pass that information on to the team
I know for a fact, that I already finished trials with all heroes from the first batch. Not just once per heroes, more than 5 times. I think for some players it's just bugged and hopefully you can come up with a fix
