Inexplicable market behaviour

Can someone please explain the market behaviour for UTOTY Van Dijk 117? I’ve seen similar behaviour earlier for UTOTY N. Mendes, but with Van Dijk this is extremely persistent. The behaviour is there on all rank up levels. There is continuous demand, in quite large numbers, but the price stays (compared to other 117s) low and/or even decreases. It just makes no sense to me. It rather feels like a bug. Or is there a logical explanation?

Adding screenshots for grey and orange ranked player versions to illustrate. Also adding one for N. Mendes, where I can’t prove that there was a high demand (there was), but you can see the price graph with its odd behaviour.
