Stuck on loading with EA account after update

Before the last update my EA account was already linked, and my team is 116 OVR. After the update, when I try to log in with my EA account the game is stuck on the loading screen. But if I choose “Play as Guest” the game works.

My question: If I enter as a guest and play the tutorials, then go to settings and try to connect my EA account from settings, will my old progress (116 OVR) come back? Or will it be replaced by the new guest progress? And this works to fix loading bug?
