“Matchmaking Failed” but there’s a match currently in progress???

Can someone explain how this is possible?

I went to launch a VSA match and the screen immediately snaps back to the VSA waiting room with a “matchmaking failed” message. But when I try to re-launch a match and it says one is already in progress. How can both of these things (a failed matchmaking and a match in progress) be true? 🤷‍♂️
