A Complete and Final Feedback

Hello, EA!

My name is Felipe, I'm Brazilian, 44 years old, level 71 account, and I've been playing EA FC since the 2022 season. I've lost count of how many threads I've opened to make requests, criticisms, and some compliments over time, there on the Portuguese forum. I play every day, so it's clear that I like the game. On the other hand, unfortunately, I still have a bad experience in certain aspects, and that's why I decided to come here, to this English forum, which seems much more active than the one I used to frequent, to provide my constructive feedback about the game, hoping to see the game improve more and more.

This year, in April, we had a gameplay update that, in my opinion, was very interesting. There are two types of players: those who seek shortcuts, for status, to trade accounts, make money, and those who really enjoy playing football. I believe the game should be directed towards those who love football, who enjoy the game, and not towards those who just want status or financial gain. Therefore, I will give my opinion on what I believe could make the game fairer for those who love football. The text may be long, but I want to write only this time. It will be a single appeal. I don't want to keep entering forums, creating a thousand threads that lead nowhere. So I will leave my last contribution.

GAMEPLAY

DEFENSE
1- A major problem in the game today is the marking system. There is no, for example, command to surround the opponent (as there is in the console version). To make matters worse, the AI behaves in a way that is incompatible with reality, leaving gaps in defense. Constantly, I see my defenders opening up space for the attacker to pass with the ball, when they should be closing him down. When we try to control them to get back into the correct position, they resist, as if there were a gravitational force pulling them back to the wrong spot. Then it's too late. The opponent passes and scores.

2- A problem I've been facing since last year is the "automatic long kick" in the defense field. In this case, I don't know if it's a bug, if I've been hacked, but I've already contacted EA through the game chat and they told me it's abnormal behavior. But I never received any help with this and I'm always at a disadvantage. It happens as follows: in the defensive field, when I touch the ball looking for space to move out and attack, on the third or fourth pass, a red exclamation point appears, and my player automatically kicks the ball long out. I lose possession. I've conceded many counterattack goals because of this.

ATTACK AND DRIBBLING

PASSES
In my gameplay, I experience a problem with passes daily. I've done several checks to make sure it's not me who's messing up the command, and it's not. Especially in decisive moments, in the final phase of the attack, I press the shoot button to finish, and instead of shooting, the player passes the ball, causing me to miss the goal.

THROUGH BALLS
Lost precision and power in the last update.

FINISHING
In my gameplay, in EVERY 1v1 situation, the first shot I take always comes out "nerfed". The shot is weak (often excessively), or it comes out as a chip shot, or a lob. From the second shot onwards, the game returns to normal. It hinders me a lot, I miss many goals because of this.

OFFSIDE

The game's AI behaves incorrectly regarding the offside line. Players advance excessively, constantly being caught offside. Professional players don't make positioning mistakes with this frequency. These are isolated cases. My Mbappe is always offside. He advances too early.

FOULS

Fouls seem to have the concept inverted in the game. When we are fouled, the referee doesn't call it.

CARDS (UPDATE AND STATUS)

Regarding the cards, a recurring problem is the lack of coherence concerning the numbers. Frequently, I face opponents with lower-rated cards that perform better. For example, my Mbappe, who currently has a pace above 150, recently lost a foot race to the defender Danilo Pereira, Pace 92. It makes no sense whatsoever. This kind of inconsistency happens in various other situations and demotivates players who strive to have the best cards.

The card upgrade system, modified this year, is interesting but makes game progression too difficult. It takes too much time to gather enough "Mascheranos" for the last jewel upgrade. When you finally reach the maximum, after so much effort, there are already cards with higher Overall ratings on the market, and worst of all, you have the frustration of seeing lower-rated cards perform better, as illustrated above.

Please bring back training transfers.

EVENTS

For me, the biggest problem with all current events is the rewards. You dedicate a lot of time, and in the end, the best cards are all untradeable. It's becoming very difficult to accumulate coins in the game. Prizes like "20,000 coins", "20 jewels", I'm sorry, but that's the same as not giving a prize. Today, the cheapest pack costs 700 jewels, a silver player costs 70,000 coins and is only useful for training. So, rewards like these demotivate players.

The best event I've played to date was the last World Cup one. That one had a plethora of prizes that motivated the player.

STAR PASS

My issue with the pass isn't the rewards, although I think they could be improved. The problem, as a Brazilian, is the price set by EA.

In general, this issue of prices is one of the things that bothers me the most in EA games. I also play Galaxy of Heroes and have the same problem.

I think the prices are too high, unrealistic for the Brazilian wallet. I think pack prices should be adjusted according to the country and its economic reality. Not to mention that many players are teenagers and children.

I assure you, at EA, that if these prices were fairer, you would make MUCH more money. Because, at this current price, those who buy, do so because they have high purchasing power. So those who buy, will buy even more. And those who don't buy, will start buying, which would be my case.

Paying R$ 550.00, R$ 280.00 for FC point packs that don't even guarantee you a tradable card, is beyond absurd, at least for the Brazilian wallet. Here in Brazil, the EA FC 24 for PS5, which is much better than any mobile game, is costing around R$ 270.00. This is the average price of the best PS5 games (!!!). I'm talking about the most modern gaming platform at the moment, and full games.

It's not possible that you really think these prices are coherent and fair. Adjust these prices, and we'll all have a chance to have fun and buy packs. This way, it's unfair and unequal. I don't believe this is the image you want for the game, right?

Please, make an exchange rate adjustment to these values. It makes no sense to buy a virtual pack that doesn't guarantee me ANY benefit when I can buy a FULL PS5 game for the same price.

Believe me, fairer prices will bring in MUCH higher revenue.

Congratulations on the improvements in April. Especially for the end of "crossing spammers". I believe this game is great, but it can be even better with these adjustments.

Furthermore, I would love to see updated uniforms, more Brazilian teams, more Brazilian crowd chants, new stadiums, the ability to choose the uniform I want to use in the match, enabled microphone for communication, and...

RIVALS

The current scoring system is unfair. Many times I'm one win away from moving up a division and end up being relegated to another, with my progress reset. It's as if I have to climb two divisions. Not to mention that this cup system is not fair and coherent. It's simple. Wins are 3 points, draws are 1, and the average score determines promotion or relegation. Exactly like in Manager mode. Why not do the same in Rivals and Attack Mode?
