You get no advantage by manual defending. Before manual defending would allow you to intercept ball, but now... I don't know if you have the same issue but whenever I defend on the flanks and have to turn my defenders slide. If I am using auto defending they don't.
m3thodmn It's hard to defend on the flanks because you'll have to gauge when you let go of the sprint button. whenever you have to turn just let go of the sprint button and try to use the joystick. You'll still fail at times, but that's just how defending is. It's crazy that auto defending does a better job with less effort.
