Coin market & subs.
The current Market economy is simply not sustainable.
Top players costing 15–20B+ coins makes no sense when it can take years of accumulation to reach that amount. Coins are an extremely valuable resource precisely because you cannot simply buy them — you have to earn them through gameplay over a very long period of time. Giving years of accumulated coins for one single player is simply insane.
The Market is also practically dead. There is very little supply, many top players are unavailable, and the ridiculous prices prevent any real flow between buyers and sellers.
On top of that, the probability of getting tradeable players from Vouchers is ridiculously low, so there is barely any alternative source of high-value tradeables entering the Market.
I really think EA needs to revamp the entire Market and coin economy. Prices need to come down significantly so that players are still valuable, but realistically achievable. Something around 3–4B for the very best players would make much more sense and would allow coins to actually circulate again.
The goal shouldn't be to make players cheap — it should be to make the Market functional again. Right now, billions of coins can represent years of playing time and still not be enough to buy a single top player. That's not a healthy economy.
Another suggestion: 5 substitutions
Another improvement would be to allow 5 substitutions instead of 3, with 3 substitution windows, in both H2H and Manager Mode, just like in real football.
This would be even more relevant with the upcoming ability to change tactics during matches. Players will have more tactical options and different formations to adapt to the game, but having only 3 substitutions limits those possibilities.
Allowing 5 substitutions would make matches more realistic and strategically deeper, giving players more freedom to react to fatigue, injuries, tactical changes and the way the match develops — just like in real football.
Cheers.
