It is kind of a fatal flaw in the game. You will progress to a point where you beat all the teams you can beat and all that's left to play are teams that will put you on a pretty harsh losing streak. I do notice, upgrading players correlates to less of a change than spending some real dollars in the store. But there are simply several tiers of players and teams that are better than me and the game gets frustrating when you arrive at that wall. For me it's around 5-8 stars and then I get beat down to zero stars and start over. eFootball is terrible though. I tried it. It sucks. 

It's also a bit off-putting that my team seems to get visibly nerfed when playing a tougher opponent. They all get slower, less responsive and do weird glitchy things. Force stopping the game and clearing the cache helps a little in instances where my game gets bogged down with lag-type issues. 

I do the same thing. Why loosing time? I am also leaving the replay playing.

Yep, that’s exactly what I see too. In VSA it’s absolutely egregious. I paid through the nose for a 127 OVR Bale and it’s infuriating to see him move sluggishly and/or repeatedly hit the woodwork just because my opponent has higher OVR. But that is exactly what happens! His performance in matches where my opponent is equal OVR is night and day compared to when the opponent is higher OVR.

To me it’s just lazy coding on EA’s part. They can’t seem to simulate difficulty by simply making defenders smarter, quicker, or more aggressive. So, instead, they nerf our players’ performance. We see it across all game modes (the weekly Ultimate Challenge is another place where it’s really obvious). For me, it undermines my motivation to play the game. Why grind to acquire a player like Bale if EA is going to selectively nerf his abilities???
