One thing they should do is get rid of untradable players. If someone can't use or doesn't need a certain player, they should be able to sell them to someone who does.

Unfortunately the game has been going in the wrong direction for a long time now. I know that it is really unlikely that it will change anything, but i think it's better to do something, than just complain about how bad the game is. I still have hope that the game can be fixed.
