I think that phase 2 tokens is a better option than shards as:

• It's a universal currency and allows us to get past event players unlike the gallery chapter.
• We can exchange phase 2 players for phase 2 tokens even after the event ends unlike shard exchanges. 
• The only problem is the exchange rate of phase 2 tokens.
