I agree — it’s a joke. Even when you manage to score the AI just slices through your defense on the ensuing kickoff and scores. And God forbid you don’t have meta players at every position because then you REALLY have no chance.
Honestly, I’m to the point where I’m just not wasting my time with these matches. I used to grind every single match of every single event, but thanks to the draft system I no longer have the top players to compete, especially when world class and legendary level matches have become increasingly difficult. One of the things that’s most noticeable in these matches is how they seem to lag. Am I the only one who notices a subtle delay between my inputs and my player movements?
The bottom line is the game should be competitive and fun and these insanely difficult matches just aren’t either for a large number of us. To me it suggests EA are out of touch with the average user experience. The game seems increasingly geared toward the “whales” who spend loads of money on the game. Where does that leave the rest of us? For me, it’s ready quit.
Meta players don't make any difference whatsoever, it took me a week to get past it, and that's largely due to skill and luck, not the cards you got. It seems that some games are easier, probably why I managed to clear this insane match.
As said in other related threads, it has been fed back with an obvious comment that this game should be a source of entertainment, not a source of frustration. What devs will do with it remains to be seen. I wouldn't hold my breath, though, as if it were easily fixable, it probably would have been changed by now.
