How can we possibly get 800 shards in less then 18 days in Defining Legacies?

The side events were always about money. Unless you do not invest in packs you will not get anything good from this event.

Just ignore the event and focus on Ragnarok mate.. don't waste your gems as I dont think except Cole anyone is worth the price tag and 1k shards is impossible to get without spending money.  Even pack luck has been pretty bad, I hear from my mates they hardly get anything above 105s

I rarely spend $$,but the 108 Pirlo CDM looks good.

I got a 106 using gems which I what I do. No $ for EA. Ha. Got lots of gems in the next few days. What to do ,what to do?

I don't think they will be relevant compared to the Ragnarok players.

Disappointing event

So I ended up with 300 gems and got the 107 KOKE. 

Luckily, I got a 109 Pirlo and had about 300 shards, so exchanged for a 111 Pirlo.  Used up 108 Essien from League exchange and 108 Ibrahimovic GK from Zlatan chronicles along with another 108 I had for the 111 exchange. And as someone suggested, his passing is sublime.

I had a bit of luck—managed to pull a couple of 108 Donovans and some random 107s and 106s. That gave me enough of a push to go all-in with gem packs and grind out the 1200 shards. Picked up ADP from the gallery, bought Pirlo off the market (he was cheaper), and grabbed a missing 108 for the exchanges—so yeah, it ended up being a pretty expensive run. Around 2.5 billion for untradeables isn’t light, but if you know how to work the market, it’s easily recoverable.

That said, I’m a Juve fan, and I’ve always liked Pirlo and ADP—so worth it for me. Both cards are solid. Pirlo’s free kicks are absolutely cracked, and while I haven’t used ADP much yet, he looks like a strong CAM option for my 3CAM H2H line up.

I had some pack luck, but I also skipped two full weeks of Ragnarok event to make this path work. Trade-offs. I hope that Nedved does not require you to sell your kidney.
