How do you get tradable players of value?

I am at loss on how to progress in this game. Pretty much every player I earn or pull from events are non-tradable. Obviously meaning I can’t sell them or make any coins.

The players I do pull that are tradable, I’ve pulled countless times and apparently so has everyone else as there are already 999+ for sale.

Despite using Gems to open multiple packs I never get any decent players. I’m now stuck with not enough coins to buy anyone to improve my team.

The game has just become beyond boring and getting worse every year. Why has there been zero effort to improve this game. I know EA want to force everyone into buying packs but surely as some point a decent game needs to be made to entice that?
