It was raised as one of the issues with the gameplay, so if there is any fix, it will likely be with any future gameplay upgrade. Keep in mind that it's not impossible to get past. You don't need to sprint at the defender trying to use skill moves. AI just expects you to do that. So, just pass around the AI. Sometimes moving the ball back also helps, as it confuses the AI.
