Kid making points/pass purchases without my PW or face!

Question

Says it all really... I let my mate's 8yo kid play on my rubbish phone as for some reason he prefers it to his Switch sometimes.. on occasion he'll ask if he can buy a 99p thing and I'll sometimes oblige.
When I do this I have to double click the side button and use face ID.
Anyway last time I got a bunch of notifications afterwards and he's somehow managed to buy £92 worth of points and stuff. I didn't do face IDor PW and he doesn't know it.
He claims not to know how it happened. Apple have refused a refund, denied my appeal and I even had a phone call this morning and they said there was nothing could be done.

Basically can anyone...
- explain how it happened?! How it can be legal?
- point to someone at EA or Apple who can explain how it happened.
- any advice on getting a refund at this seemingly stuffed stage?

Is there a pop up to continue that has tiny small print that says you're buying something?

Hi mate - would contact customer service via the in-game settings menu as they will be able to&nbsp; assist with verifying purchases made etc. and potentially with seeking a refund (not entirely sure on that, but they would be the ones to ask).
As for purchases on the iphone, yeah, i have to double click the side button every time i buy something, but i don't know that i need to face id every time as well ... that is an apple thing though, the game just takes verification from apple in whatever form apple provides, but yeah, it poses an interesting conundrum.
contact customer service though, tell them you had unauthorised purchases in the game, and they may be able to roll them back and refund you&nbsp;

Thanks for that! Yeah will try in game as I’ve ‘only’ done it via the email notification/apple itself where it was denied. Cheers!
