Phone heats up after the 26 update!!

Oh wow, thank you EA for giving me the hottest update yet—literally. Who needs a space heater when I’ve got EA FC Mobile 26 turning my iPhone 14 Pro into a sizzling frying pan after just two matches? Forget tactics and formations, the real challenge now is keeping my phone alive long enough to sub off Messi before the CPU melts. Honestly, if the game doesn’t crash, my fingers might, because I’m playing on what feels like a stovetop. Brilliant job EA, you’ve finally nailed it—the first football game that doubles as a hand-warmer. Perfect for winter, absolute torture for summer. Cheers.

Are you sure its not your battery on its way out? iPhone 14 was released years ago so the battery could be an issue. FCM using lots of resources is one thing, phone heating up very quickly under load is another.

Same happening to me since the update. I’ve got an I phone 16 and less than a year old. I have turned the in game settings all to the lowest options. Since the update, literally 2 games and 15 minutes of play time and my phone gets nearly too hot to touch. The battery also shoots down from 90-70 % in 20 mins. Everything else works fine until try and play the game after the update. EA- please sort this out.

doesn't appear to be happening on Androids (at least it hasn't affected mine), and no one in our league mentioned iPhone issues such as yours. You may want to list your actual OS you have on your phone for the EA folk to pass it on. Have you also raised a ticket via the in-game menu?

dzrtr I have the latest OS update installed and the healing issue is only when I run the EA FC Mobile game (after updated to FC 26).

If it was my battery, it should heat up regardless of what application I'm running.

I realise that but when it comes to reporting issues and genuine bugs people still need to provide all details, even if it seems silly.

  • it’s still heating up very quickly and draining my battery. Also got the latest iOS (iPhone 16) and latest game update. Have tried to reinstall the app. The in game settings are all on the lowest. I have noticed no difference on the gameplay though from high to low settings. I have tried to reset these and open and close the app a few times, it’s like the gameplay settings are not taking effect? My phone has plenty of space and all other apps are working fine and not draining the battery or overheating the phone. I have followed all other advice on the job. Anyone got any other suggestions? It was working fine before the fc 26 update. It’s not possible to now play the game for more than about 15 minutes at a time.
