POOR GAMEPLAY AND POOR MATCHMAKING

so apparently .......it seems like goal keepers in VSA are just as useless as nothing and basically that division is simply for testing who can score more goals quicker , between you and your opponent coz how do you wish to tell me , I have a 118 courtois and 120 van de sar , both have the deflector playstyle , which should like allow them to be quite good at saving shots .....but apparently it's just useless , coz am conceding even 14 goals with van de sar ......and courtois just pisses me off as he does basically nothing in every single VSA game .....any shot taken is a guaranteed goal .......EA ....please please fix this stuff , the way you overpower the AI controlled goal keepers in events , make goal keepers in division rivals just as good ...coz I basically can't grind coz of the goal keeper .......I work hard get to 10 stars ...but in the process to even get there I have already played over 80 games ...simply because the goal keepers are basically spectating ....they seem to forget their work

    A lot of that has been fed back. The issue is you don't get many gameplay updates, typically once/twice a year if you look at history. It also requires a client update, unlike content updates that get dropped in all the time.

    I also have VDS where, being a meta GK, I'd expect him to perform better in VSA, but he does not. As you said, VSA is a matter of who scores faster, not who has better defence, so I ignore the goals scored vs me in VSA. I just focus on trying to hit the 13+ mark. Reached 40* with 125, but after the Spanish/TOTT release, too many people now have 127+ to reach 50* (also 40 is the last tier with gems, so unless easy, typically don't bother pushing to +50*).
    In H2H, VDS bailed me out quite a bit (except for his uncommanded panic rushes), so at least in H2H/PVE he performs as expected.

    Lastly, the matchmaking is under investigation. The dev team has made changes to H2H, and it's better from a latency perspective (at least it seems to be matching more with people closer to me, over the ones from Mars and beyond). VSA is still pending, last I spoke to one of them earlier in the week

    Honestly, I don’t individual player skills or playstyles (whether it’s a keeper or a field player) make much difference in VSA. The effect of your team’s OVR rating just totally swamps all other factors. For example, if you take the same GK and two CBs and put them in a squad that is +1 OVR higher than mine they will perform like an absolute wall, but put them in a squad that’s equal OVR and they perform like ordinary defenders. It’s one of the reasons why I hate VSA. The way VSA difficulty is simulated is just really, really poor because it leaves you feeling like your skill doesn’t really count for much.
