@mendozzamagicThey were tuned down a week or two weeks ago, still insane to get the ball from them, you def have to manual everything plus (put on Defensive mode) that way only your striker(s) wingers are on, wingers are best solution to win a game, you go close to a corner until one of your striker close on the 18 box to pass it too and finesse shot (if the defender starts holding you pass it back to the winger and try again), it's most of the time a goal and once you get a goal, just get the ball and pass it to your defender>goalie until game done, that's how i win all my World Class difficulties.

Hope it helps, it still * the AI is like this, but they seem to be making events now on Beginner/Amateur which are Auto 99% of the time.

Edit: old Chronicles icon now doesn't use stamina anymore, so get all the players for fodder or usage if new, plus gems are nice and 91 uni for rank up.
