Review of the Year

Seriously? No disrespect to EA_Pulsar​ (cuz he’s no doubt just following orders), but read the room, EA. People are righteously pissed off at the state of the game and you’re trying to “engage” the community with this crap? No one wants to hear/see this! We want to know what (if anything) you’re going to do to address our myriad concerns and, in the meantime, posting something like this sends the signal (even if unintended) that you’re oblivious to how angry/frustrated people are right now.

It’s long past time that we hear from someone who can tell us what EA plans to do to address our concerns. Absent that, posts like this feel like an insult. Full stop.

EA isn’t out of touch. They know exactly what’s going on. They just don’t care because the current model clearly works.

Every time there is backlash, TOTY being the perfect example, it lasts about five minutes before the forum and social media are flooded with posts like I packed this or first try. People spend huge amounts of money, flex it online, and give EA free promotion while complaining at the same time.

Why would EA ever fix gameplay, rewards, or progression when opening packs is what gets all the attention?

And honestly, what is the achievement in packing a meta card before you have even learned how to play properly? If your team is finished in the first week, there is nothing left to earn. That is not Ultimate Team. It is just gambling.

The grind used to matter. Progression used to matter. Now both get skipped, gameplay gets ignored, and the loudest voices are the ones spending money. As long as that keeps happening, there is no reason for EA to change anything.

Here is an interesting stat - apparently, I have raised 1.7 million gems in 2025, so this isn't even enough to pay for a guaranteed 116 of my choice in TOTY (you need 1.8m) and a third of 117 OVR.  Let it sink in.

Otherwise, if we have reached certain milestones, there should be a gift.
As for the rest of the review, it has been highly inaccurate in my opinion. My team for 2025 is far from the lineup I have been mostly using, let alone the formation (4-2-3-1-Narrow vs shown 433 and had players out of position as well). At least the key player was correct (Del Piero). Given that I have been very active on the market with card flipping, 2500 80+ cards is a small fraction of the actual transfers I did.... You can do that in 2-3 weeks with ease...
