Re: Concerns regarding the new TOTY event..
Dear Electronic Arts EA SPORTS FC Mobile Team,
I am writing to formally raise concerns regarding the recent changes implemented in the Team of the Year (TOTY) event in EA SPORTS FC Mobile.
TOTY is supposed to be the flagship event of the year — a celebration of the best players and the most rewarding grind for the community. Instead, the current structure has created widespread frustration, confusion, and disappointment across the player base.
The primary issues are:
• The excessive dependence on luck-based mechanics rather than effort-based progression
• Reduced accessibility for free-to-play users compared to previous TOTY editions
• The extreme pay-to-win imbalance introduced through packs, exchanges, and limited chances to obtain meaningful rewards
• Lack of transparency regarding probabilities, progression pacing, and realistic player acquisition paths
For many players, grinding the event no longer feels rewarding. Time investment does not match the quality or quantity of rewards, and the sense of achievement that TOTY traditionally delivers has been replaced with frustration.
This is not just isolated feedback. Across Reddit, YouTube, Discord servers, and in-game chats, the dominant sentiment is negative. Many long-term players feel alienated and believe the event has shifted too far toward monetization at the cost of fair gameplay.
EA SPORTS FC Mobile has always succeeded when skill, dedication, and strategy were rewarded. The current TOTY format undermines those principles and risks damaging player trust and long-term engagement.
I respectfully urge EA to review the structure of this event, improve transparency, and rebalance progression so that both free-to-play and paying players feel their effort is meaningful.
The community is not asking for free rewards — we are asking for fairness, clarity, and a system where effort actually matters.
