Shard shop suggestion (TOTS and future events)

The problem with an event leaving is the shard shop going away with it too. It’s very annoying because you don't even get to spend your shards.
As the TOTS event was coming to an end, I was trying my hardest to get a player with the shards i had. I spent money just to get more shards, but I realized I didn’t have enough. At that point I was just going to spend it on a cheaper player. I still had about 3 minutes till the event ended, but then the game went into maintenance and I lost all my shards.
I know I should have spent them earlier, that is my fault. But I don’t have time to spend playing this game everyday and to keep up with when the event is ending.
As a suggestion, have the shop be open for a certain amount of time after the event so that people can spend their unused shards without it going to waste.
do you mean the game modes where you earn shards? cuz yeah those are closed. but 2 things are open:
- shards exchange
- TOTS gallery where you can spend shards for players
