Star signings bug

I went on the market to buy a 113 rated TOTS card so I could change it into shards. I bought him and went to the star signings page to be greeted by nothing. The player I had bought wasn’t there on the release page of star signings. I didn’t put him in any lineup, nor did I train him or rank him up. Are we not able to swap tradable players in star signings or is this a bug?
