It is better to choose the middle price, meaning: the lowest price plus the highest price divided by two. If the number cannot be written, it is better to increase that number until you reach the closest number to it, which you can write if you want to buy. However, if you want to sell, the opposite is true. You must decrease the middle price instead of increasing it until you reach the closest number that can be written.

Example: (de jong), the lowest price is 1,080,000,000 but the heighest number is 1,190,000,000, you must do (1,080,000,000+1,190,000,000)÷2

=2,270,000,000÷2= 1,135,000,000👌 (but this total number or middle price can't be written)

So if you want to sell the player, you need to decrease the price until you get the first price you can write: it's 1,300,000,000 but if you want to buy the player, you need to increase the price until you get the first price you can write: it's 1,400,000,000

If you don't understand, give me the highest price for the player and the lowest price, and I will give you the best price to buy or sell the player's card.

So, it’s been 9 hours and so far no luck even though I saw over 400 cards sold at the purchase price I offered. That was a few hours ago and now the purchase prices listed are more than 100 million over my offer. 

So, to summarize, I took your advice and placed a bid at a price midway between the high and low. Several hours later the market had moved and the purchase price was hovering right at the amount I had bid. More than 400 cards sold at that price (but none of them to me even though I’d placed my order hours earlier), and now the market has moved again to a price well above my bid.

it would be really helpful if someone from EA could clarify whether bids are queued and mine is just waiting behind all the others at the same price (in which case maybe I should leave it in the hopes the market drops again to level of my bid and I’m able to get to the front of the line), or whether there is some other timing mechanism and I should go ahead re-bid at the higher price.

If the price of a player card decreases or increases significantly, you should do the same thing (average price) for each refresh, you should download the renderz app and enter the details of the tradeable player card and see the refresh time, when that time arrives enter the game quickly and see the highest and cheapest price and change the price by doing the same process. 

People usually move the price at refresh time to the max mate.. not the average price.  What Larry suggested would work for a card which is in supply but when demand is high, go for a max price.

Also when price is reduced at refresh like you put 35m and card reduced to 33m, people who put 33m first would get it.  You might have to wait till price raises back to 35m for ur order to be processed.  

There R pros and cons to both staying put or following refresh times, but I prefer chasing refresh times as difficult to land on the exact price when you stay put.

I agree, but there is many users buy or sell the player with the same price sooo you have a small percentage to get or sell the player on every refresh. Sooo the best way is to put the middle price and wait.

Thanks for the advice. In the past I’ve always bid the highest price and always gotten the card, but none of these were as sought after as the Zidane.

The thing I’m still totally confused about is how I missed out when I had placed my order hours ahead of time at a price point that the market hadn’t yet moved to. I would have thought this would place me at the front of the queue when the purchase price moved and people started putting their Zidane’s up for sale at that amount. That I didn’t get the card suggests that either (1) there is no queue; or (2) there are literally hundreds of other users placing orders hours (even days) in advance and just waiting/hoping for the market to land at that price point.

Again, I would REALLY appreciate someone from EA (for once) to reply with some help—specifically, how do the mechanics of the market actually function and how should I make sense of my inability to purchase the Zidane card despite offering a price that matched the amount accepted by more than 400 sellers?
